Privacy Policy
Who we are
Money Log is a personal budgeting app operated by Loïc Morin (Setspace), Quebec, Canada. In this policy, "we" means the operator of Money Log and "you" means the person using it.

The short version
- We only collect what the app needs to work.
- We never sell your information, never show ads, and don't use trackers or analytics.
- Only you can see your budget data.
- You can download or delete everything at any time, right in the app.
What we collect

We do not ask for or store bank logins, card numbers or account numbers. Please don't type them in notes.
Your colour theme, light/dark choice and the "hide numbers" lock are saved only on your device.
Consent
By creating an account you consent to the collection and use described here, for these purposes only. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting your account (Settings → Account → Delete my account).
Who can see your information
Only you. The database is set up so each account can only read its own rows. We don't access your budget data except when needed to fix a problem you report, or when required by law.
We use these service providers to run the app. They only process data to provide their service to us:
- Supabase: database and sign-in
- Vercel: hosting and the server that sends notifications
- Apple / Google push services: delivering notifications to your phone
- Resend: emailing us the feedback you send
- Google Fonts and jsDelivr: loading the app's fonts and code (they see your IP address, like any website)
Some of these providers store information outside Quebec and Canada, including in the United States. Information stored there may be subject to the laws of that country.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account exists. When you delete your account, your login, purchases, goals, settings and notification tokens are deleted right away. Feedback you sent, and the reason you give for leaving (optional), is kept without your name or email. Backups held by our providers are cleared on their normal schedule.
Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and protected by row-level access rules so no account can read another's. No system is perfectly secure. If a confidentiality incident creates a risk of serious injury, we will notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information as the law requires.
Your rights
- Access and portability: Settings → Legal & privacy → Download my data.
- Correction: edit anything directly in the app.
- Deletion: Settings → Account → Delete my account.
- Questions or complaints: email loic.morin@setspace.ai. We answer within 30 days. You can also contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Age
Money Log is meant for people 16 and older. If you are under 16, please don't create an account.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app before important changes take effect.
