Terms of Use

Effective October 6, 2026

1. Agreement

Money Log is operated by Loïc Morin (Setspace), Quebec, Canada. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Money Log.

2. Not financial advice

Money Log is a tool for tracking your own spending and savings. Budgets, paycheque splits, alerts, tips about TFSA, FHSA, RRSP or other accounts, and any other information in the app are for general information only. They are not financial, tax, investment or legal advice, and they don't take your full situation into account.

Contribution limits, tax rules and deadlines change. Always confirm with official sources (such as your CRA My Account) or a qualified professional before making financial decisions. You are responsible for the decisions you make.

3. Your account

4. Acceptable use

Don't misuse the app: no trying to access other people's data, disrupting the service, reverse-engineering it to harm it, or using it for anything illegal. Don't put card numbers, bank account numbers or passwords in notes. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.

5. Paid plans

Money Log may offer paid plans in the future. If it does, the price, billing period, free trial and how to cancel will be shown clearly before you pay, and you won't be charged without agreeing first.

6. Your content

Your data belongs to you. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the app for you. Feedback you send can be used to improve Money Log, without any obligation to you.

7. Availability

We work to keep Money Log running and your data safe, but the app is provided "as is" and "as available". It may sometimes be unavailable, have bugs, or change. Notifications may be late or not arrive. Keep your own records for anything important.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect losses, or for financial decisions, fees, penalties or losses resulting from your use of the app or from information in it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Quebec Consumer Protection Act or other laws that can't be excluded.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using Money Log and delete your account at any time. We may close the service or an account with reasonable notice, and will give you a way to download your data first when possible.

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms. We'll change the date above and tell you in the app before important changes take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and Canada.
